We created this project in collaboration with VICEVERSA Studio for SOS Mediterranee, with the aim of shedding light on an often overlooked aspect of rescue operations: the immediate medical care provided on board right after the rescue - rehydration, treatment for burns, support for trauma, and malnutrition.
Starting from this insight, we developed a series of images that symbolically merge objects related to first aid with life buoys, making visible what is usually hidden.
The project was entirely created in CGI and features three visuals that are part of a broader communication campaign. Among the initiatives is also an art installation along the Imperatore Augusto seafront in Bari: a giant adesive bandage in the sea, a powerful visual metaphor to heal indifference and commemorate the thousands of people who have died or gone missing in the central Mediterranean.
